About

I am a tutor who has been teaching and tutoring full time for the nearly 5 years, and have been involved in primary, secondary and tertiary education for more than seven. . I am currently employed as a full time qualified teacher of science at a comprehensive secondary school, where my teaching experience includes Chemistry A-level and all three sciences at Key Stages 3 and 4. I also have experience of supporting Literacy and Numeracy at Key Stages 1 and 2, having tutored 10 pupils from this age range in the past 3 years. I am also enhanced CRB checked.

I have no set tutoring plan as every student will have his or her own individual needs. This allows the flexibility for everyone that I tutor to achieve the best that they can. Whether my tuition is to help prepare for specific exams, gain extra support for a weaker subject or to start learning an area from scratch, I provide an environment of encouragement and support tailored to the specific needs of the pupil.

For pupils that need to gain the best results they possibly can, I provide study regimes and resources together with specific techniques, which will help the student go into the exam full of confidence and knowledge that they understand the subject through and through.

Reasons I have tutored pupils in the past include:

* Key Stage Testing at all Key Stages;

* Support for the transition between Key Stages;

* Specific help with subject knowledge in Literacy, Numeracy, English, Maths, Science, Music, Geography, Business Studies, ICT all up to GCSE level.

* Specilist help with A-level subjects including Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Maths and Business Studies;

* Musical instrument tuition including Piano/Keyboard, Violin, Guitar and Bass Guitar (including music theory).

I am now in the process of setting up an online service for those inside and outside of Kent. This will be based on long distance communication methods including phone, email, internet webcam.
